Looking Forward Fundraiser: Event Recap
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who joined us in celebrating our Looking Forward Holiday Fundraiser last week, and to all who continue to make One For One teens a priority. Your unwavering support humbles us.
If you weren't able to attend, we sincerely hope you'll take a moment to watch this video and hear from D'Andre, one of our many students who spoke that night.
Your support is critical to funding our summer internship program, year-round career exposure workshops, job-readiness training and personalized mentorship. One For One provides building blocks both personally and within the community that help our students find a positive path forward on so many levels.
We are grateful for your continued support in making this program possible.
Please dig deep and consider a donation of any amount. Our $50K Matching Grant from The George and Cindy Rusu Foundation runs until the end of the year. Help us reach our goals and give hope to more young adults on the West Side of Chicago in 2024. The need is great, and your support is truly making a difference!
Planting Seeds Of Gratitude
Each holiday season, One For One students come together for workshop with our partners at Mariani Landscape. This year, our teens invited first responders from the West Side to honor them, gifting holiday arrangements and showing gratitude for the way these officers show up in the community. A handful of student-made arrangements were also sold in our silent auction last week. While the workshop provides hands-on learning and creativity, it offers so much more.
It is building community. It is changing the narrative.
